Australians it seems have jumped on the bandwagon that is the World Cup of Soccer. I could guarantee that hardly anyone in this country even knew what FIFA was a year ago. I mean we would get snippets in the news, like that one world cup where some guy kicked an own goal and was subsequently shot and killed! by an angry fellow countryman ..
This year after 34 years, Australia has a team in the CUP ! and they are winning games ! Well games that matter, in fact they have had 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss, which was good enough for them to get to the next round .. wow .. They are already stamped in history as the most successful soccer team ever ! (in Australia anyhow hah) .. but if they win the next game, I could guarantee that soccer fields Australia over will be filled with lifelong fans! (so they will claim), who up until a month a go, had no interest in the sport whatsoever ... kinda funny really ..
BTW anyone who knows the closest soccer club to me, LET ME KNOW !

yeah ... it was too bad that they lost by such a disgraceful call ...
They did have their chances to win though .. with an extra player on the field ..
We are still proud of them ! they were the newcomers to this competition and every team who played them had to fight .. even the Brazillians .. heh ..

Hey, Australia did better than the US did. And it was their first world cup. Plus they lost to such a lame call.......
