Camping was fun ! well that's probably because the people I went with were a ton of fun. I met up with a couple of buddies after work on Friday and we drove down to the Coast about an hour away to the campsite. Luckily a few who lived down there got to the campsite early and put up our tent for us. We didn't end up needing my tent, Ian's tent was sufficient.
We camped at the Tallebudgera campsite, which is on a creek that leads straight to the ocean. Unfortunately it is also right next to the Gold Coast Highway and the campsite we were allocated was also right next to the Gold Coast Highway ... noise ... heck yeah .. !
As soon as we got to the campsite we got our things into the tent, then took off to the nearest thai restaurant :-). yummers. They were full and so we just bought take aways, went for a walk on the beach and waited for our orders. As soon as our orders were ready, we took them back to the campsite which had a TV room, locked ourselves in and watched Oceans 12 while eating our yummy thai food. Camping is sooo much fun eh ! At about midnight we went for a midnight stroll around the campsite and the creek/river talked to a few fishermen, gazed at the stars, behind the clouds. It was really lovely.
Not much sleeping went on that night, on account of local traffic noise so we mostly got up early, spent most of the day at the beach and had a really good time and got thoroughly sunburn't. It's lovely to get away from it all, even if it is just down the road.
Pictures.. of course I took pictures .. All of them (except the one of the tent) were taken with my phone, not too shabby eh.

Sounds fun, gladden to hear of the good times had by yourself and others. Your phone does a much better job of taking pix than mine! excellent... looks so inviting.
